The Golden Age Of Belfast. Walking tour

Historic Belfast walking tour

75 British pounds
Historic tour of Belfast

Service Description

The Industrial Revolution had a significant impact on Ulster. Belfast had a population of 20,000 in 1800 but, by 1900, this had risen to over 450,000. Its industries created a jewel in Queen Victoria's Empire with ship building, the linen industry, rope works, engineering, whiskey and water. Belfast's factories exported across the globe from the 18th to the early 20th century and her industrialists created a city famed for its fine buildings. Take a tour with us around Cathedral Quarter and learn more about the Golden Age of Belfast as well as the radical times experienced by the City with the United Irishmen Rebellion of 1798 and the Dock Strike of 1907.
